Community

We will use the community page to demonstrate the power of track and field in the lives of young people.

Our first contribution is from Michael Bergmann:

CYO

The CYO Track and Field Program is one of the largest Middle School Track programs in the USA. Nearly 2000 athletes from 3rd-8th grade compete in weekly meets (4 of them in the Portland area each week). It concludes with a 3rd and 4th grade championships that saw the numbers go to over 500 participants and the follow weekend is the Meet of Champions for the 5th through 8th graders. Oregon athletes that have come through CYO are Galen Rupp, Kenny Klotz and many other top runners that have competed in High School and College. The program is designed to make great memories for kids. CYO Champion meets utilize fully automatic timing and upload results immediately for the athletes based on the software and processes put into place.
