Mental Preparation for Track and Field Athletes

Mental Preparation for Track and Field Athletes for competition
We have been discussing about the physical preparations for seasonal competition, but it is also important to be mentally ready for the big meet. Aside from the typical workout at Loprinzi’s Gym, runners also need to go through mental preparation to have a successful competition. I am going to give some tips on how you can achieve that:

Concentration
It is important to learn how to concentrate on your task. A great way to do that is by playing games online. There are many websites that offer games that help improve logic and memory and the best example of that is bingo. Cheekybingo offers different kinds of bingo games including 75 Ball Bingo and 90 Ball Bingo. Playing bingo requires a lot of focus and thinking because you can use the process of elimination to see your chances of winning. Aside from bingo games, there are also Slots, Casino and Keno available at CheekyBingo that could also improve your logical thinking.

Visualization
Dreamers often end up winners. Do you know why? Because they know how to visualize success and they already claim success. Mental practice can help improve your run that’s why there are some people that envisage themselves running on the track where they are going to race. Some watch videos at Flo Track to get a better look of the track if they have not visited the location yet. Visualizing yourself running and eventually winning the race could increase your chances of getting the gold.

Remember the C’s in Success
There are several factors that start with the letter C that needs to be remembered and practiced all throughout training. These include confidence, composure, commitment, character, courage and control. You need confidence to boost your morale; composure to help you handle stress; commitment to finish what you started; character to accept defeat; courage to face all trials; and control of your actions so you can do what is right.

Now that you have learned some ways on how to prepare mentally for the run, I hope that they will benefit you in your track care
